The Campaign for Housing and Civic Engagement (CHACE), with the Judy Ford Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University, have released the results of their public opinion survey about affordable housing and energy efficiency, and the results should be encouraging to housing advocates statewide. Some interesting points:
- 82% of voters strongly believe that people who work in their community should be able to find a home there.
- 56% of voters agree that housing affordability is vital to their community’s economic success.
- 79.4% of voters said having an adequate supply of housing options was important of very important to them.
