Housing Alexandria’s staff and board are made up of passionate professionals who feel that the path to community growth runs right through access to housing people can afford. Many of us live within the City of Alexandria; all of us are passionate about the future of this city and our region.
Our Team
Jon Frederick,
President and CEO
Jon has served as the President/CEO of Housing Alexandria since 2015. During his tenure the organization has grown from a small team of one with under 200 units of rental housing to a team of sixteen with approximately 900 units owned with 500 units under construction. During this time, he has overseen the development and implementation of two strategic plan initiatives.
Prior to joining Housing Alexandria, Jon worked in several positions in community development, most notably as a housing analyst for the City of Alexandria and a real estate development director for Volunteers of America. He holds a master’s degree in urban planning and sits on several boards and commissions including the Alexandria Housing Affordability Advisory Committee, the Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance leadership council, and the Grounded Solutions Network Board of Directors. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring great urban spaces and our national parks. He lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and daughter.

Elisa Mondragon,
Chief Operating Officer
A native of Mexico City, Elisa Mondragon is a results-driven professional with fifteen years of experience leading business operations, including strategic planning, employee development, and change management. She joined Housing Alexandria in 2017, where she manages corporate operations and the finance team, oversees property operations, and leads our Resident Services programs.
Elisa grew up in Las Vegas, NV, where she attended UNLV and earned a Bachelor’s in Anthropology and a second in Art History. Elisa recently completed her Master’s in Organizational Sciences from The George Washington University. She loves food, traveling, and cats.

Accounting Controller
At Housing Alexandria, Fang is is responsible for efficiently and sustainably directing Housing Alexandria’s accounting functions. She maintains the organization’s accounting principles, practices, policies, procedures, and initiatives. and develops accounting strategies, prepares and analyze financial reports, and leads the accounting team to ensure the organization’s financial health.

Aaron Remolona,

Aaron Remolona has over eleven years of experience in real estate finance and asset management. He joined the Housing Alexandria team in 2016, and has been central to projects such as Sanse and Naja. Prior to joining Housing Alexandria, Aaron worked as an Associate at Clark Realty Capital, overseeing the financial performance of a public-private real estate partnership at Fort Belvoir, VA.
